Best Dog Friendly Beach Near Melbourne, FL
Canova Dog Beach
3299 N Hwy A1A, Indialantic, FL, US, 32903

A modest pavilion, grill, picnic shelter, benches along the footbridge, restrooms, drinking fountain, and outside showers are all part of this 9.1-acre community beach area. Wheelchair access is available at one of the three dune crosses. Canova Beach Park is the only dog-friendly beach in Brevard County. All dogs must be kept on a leash and wear identification tags that indicate their current licensing and vaccinations. The Dog Beach is free to use, but owners must clean up after their pets. There are waste bags and appropriate containers accessible.
When it's busy, you'll have to park across A1A at the Friendly's/Walmart lot, but the walk over the street is about five minutes.
Bring your dogs along with their current licenses and vaccines, as well as a leash and some waste bags; the beach has standards in place to keep it clean and safe. You must keep your pets on a leash so that they do not run away from you. Grill dinner, dine beneath the pavilion, relax on a bench, and watch your furry kids enjoy the Florida sunlight after a day of splashing in the waves. Take advantage of the outdoor shower facility to rinse your dog of the sea water.
Keep an eye on what they eat and drink.
Many dogs enjoy drinking salt water at the beach, but it is harmful to their health. Drinking salt water should be limited, and fresh water should be encouraged. Otherwise, you can end up with diarrhea and an upset stomach. A collapsible water dish is an excellent item to have on hand. Remember to carry plenty of fresh, refreshing water with you!
